As a medical food, ACEND is intended to be taken under the supervision of a physician. As a physician, you recommend taking ACEND to your patient and your patient can then order direct from you, the provider, or any of our authorized 3 rd party resellers.

- At this time ACEND is not covered by private insurance, unless they specifically cover Medical Foods for a specific medical condition. *Coverage may depend on the insurance provider and plan.

As the manufacturer, ACEND cannot bill insurance directly.
*Must be used to treat a medical condition and be prescribed by a licensed healthcare professional to treat an illness or condition.

We are working with many private insurance companies to get ACEND covered by individual insurance plans. Yet at this time, ACEND is only covered by Medicare, Medicaid and Veteran’s Affairs in these states (link to states). If you live in a state where ACEND is not reimbursed, please contact your local officials and request ACEND to be added to the formulary reimbursement program.
